2. What data we process and why
- Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message, to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: consent.
- Newsletter: your email address, to send you news from the hotel. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the email itself or by writing to us.
- Bookings: the data you enter in the booking engine (identity, contact details, payment) is processed to manage your booking and stay. Legal basis: performance of a contract. The booking engine is provided by SiteMinder as our technology provider.
- WhatsApp: if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, the processing is also governed by WhatsApp’s (Meta’s) terms.
- Web analytics: with your consent, we use Google Analytics to produce statistics on how the website is used (see the cookie policy).
- Advertising on Google: with your consent, we use Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to bookings or enquiries, and to show the hotel’s ads to people who have already visited the website (see the cookie policy). Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw under “Cookie settings”.
3. Recipients
We do not share your data with third parties except where required by law (for example, the guest register required by security regulations). We rely on providers acting as data processors, including: Dinahosting S.L. (web hosting, EU), SiteMinder (booking engine) and Google (analytics and advertising, if you consent; this may involve international transfers covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
4. Retention
We keep data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and, after that, for the statutory limitation periods (tax, guest register, etc.). Newsletter data is kept until you withdraw your consent.
5. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@hoteljaizkibel.com and proving your identity. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
6. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration.
